26-27 BOARD Elections
On March 26, 2026 we'll be holding our annual PTA Board elections in the MUR. If if you’ve ever thought about getting involved with the PTA or just want to learn more, we’d love to hear from you!

Voting Role
VP of Ways & Means
Leads PTA fundraising efforts that support the annual budget and programs. Coordinates events, partnerships, and initiatives that bring in funds to make PTA programs and activities possible.
Time Commitment
Executing Read-a-Thon fundraiser then approx. 2 hours a month thereafter.
Skills Needed
Coordinating with sponsors and community partners such as restaurants that support PTA fundraising events.

Voting Role
Financial Secretary
Ensures PTA funds are properly deposited, reviews check requests, tracks corporate matches, and works closely with the Treasurer to maintain organized financial records.
Time Commitment
Approx. 1 hour a week including campus visits to retrieve checks and make deposits as needed.
Skills Needed
Basic financial organization.

Voting Role
Room Parent Liason
Works with teachers to establish room parents, distribute STEAM+ funds, and share PTA updates with classroom families through the room parent network.
Time Commitment
Approx. 3 hours a month.
Skills Needed
Comfortable coordinating with school staff and communicating with families.
***Great role for a former Room Parent who wants to join the PTA Board

Voting Role
Parliamentarian
Ensures PTA meetings follow proper procedure and that the organization operates according to its bylaws. Oversees bylaw reviews and manages updates or revisions every three years.
Time Commitment
Approx. 2 hours a month.
Skills Needed
Comfortable learning PTA bylaws and meeting procedures.

Non-Voting Role
Staff Appreciation Chair
Plans and coordinates monthly treats, decorations, and small events to celebrate and thank the teachers and staff who make our school community special.
Time Commitment
Approx. 3 hours a month
Skills Needed
Creative and enjoys planning fun lunches or thoughtful ways to show appreciation.

Voting Role
Historian
Documents PTA events, activities, and achievements throughout the school year. Helps capture and preserve the story of programs and experiences made possible by the PTA.
Time Commitment
Approx. 1 hour a month and ability to attend most PTA sponsored events.
Skills Needed
Enjoys taking photos and documenting programs made possible by the PTA.

Non-Voting Role
Communications Chair
Oversees all PTA communications including email newsletters, website updates, social media posts, and media outreach to keep the community informed and connected.
Time Commitment
Approx. 6 hours a month
Skills Needed
Familiarity with email marketing platforms and communication channels used to reach the CDM community.
