A Magical Morning with Sue Fliess!

The MUR buzzed with excitement as our Dragons gathered for a special visit from beloved children’s author Sue Fliess. With pencils ready and imaginations wide open, students leaned in as stories came to life right before their eyes.
✨ Event Highlights
Students learned how story ideas can grow from everyday moments — even from other fairy tales.
Sue shared her “What if?” method to spark creativity and encouraged students to keep their own idea jars for moments of inspiration.
She offered a behind-the-scenes peek at the publishing process, showing that real authors revise their stories many times.
Laughter, curiosity, and creativity filled the room as students saw themselves as storytellers too.
At the end of the presentation, Sue personally signed books for students who pre-ordered, making the experience extra special.
🙌 Thank You to Our Community
A heartfelt thank you to Sue Fliess for inspiring our young writers and readers. Special gratitude goes out to our VP of Ways & Means, Jana Gill, dedicated volunteers, teachers, and staff for making this magical event possible. Your behind-the-scenes work helps bring learning to life in unforgettable ways.
💜 Why This Matters
Because of events like these, our students don’t just read stories — they learn how to write their own. Assemblies like this spark imagination, build confidence, and remind every Dragon that their voice matters.
